Since 2013, Kalen Construction and Design (KCD) has built and remodeled numerous homes throughout the Sarasota area. KCD builds and designs custom homes, whole home remodels, whole condo remodels, additions, outdoor living spaces, kitchens, and other areas of your home that encompass your unique needs and desires.

KALEN Construction & Design is a family owned and operated construction company. As a licensed Florida state building contractor, we combine over 20 years of experience and a proven track record of successfully completed projects. Specializing in all aspects of residential construction, we also perform light commercial projects. At KALEN Construction & Design, every trade partner is hand selected to meet a certain criteria and more importantly to share common values. We pride ourselves in selecting and partnering with trusted licensed and insured plumbers, electricians, subcontractors, and other industry professionals in order to achieve the highest level of quality.

Our Founder, Edward Kalenichenko
Edward Kalenichenko, President and CEO of Kalen Construction and Design, entered the building industry since childhood working with his father, graduated from Everglades University with his Bachelors in Construction Management at 21, became a licensed contractor at the age of 23, and built two custom homes by the age of 24. Since launching KCD, Edward has been driven to push the standards of the building and be the best in the industry. He is a visionary and craftsman that takes clients ideas and makes them happen. Building his career on integrity and honesty has earned him respect among his colleagues and a reputation among his clients. Edward believes that whatever you do, you must do it well.
